Hey my friends what’s going on? This week as usual I have listened to music and have decided to pick one of the artists I listen to. Well, the artist of the week is……. Nick Jonas and the Administrations!!! The song that I have chosen by them is “Who I Am.” I just adore that song. Anyways if you’ve heard you know what I’m talking about. When I first heard the song it didn’t sound like Nick Jonas, but then I watched the video and I knew that it was Nick Jonas. Well this week I have written another happy song unlike the other ones that I have written. And I messed with some chords on the guitar and its songs great. The song this week is called “Just another Day.” Hope you like it. J

♪Music Topic of the Week!♪

Shiver me timbers. (Hehe) I was watching a pirate move so I thought I’d use that as a transition. Anyways I've been listening to a lot of songs during the past week and I finally deiced to choose one by the… JONAS BROTHERS and i'ts called (drum roll please) “What Did I Do to Your Heart?” I have to admit I never really listened to the Jonas Brothers before, I do like their music but I don’t own any of their CD’s. So I asked one of my friends if I could borrow a couple of her CD’s and I listened to the song and fell in love with it. It was kind of hard to decide on what song to do this week but I finally narrowed it done to one. Well, I have to say I have been writing sad songs lately but this song had inspired me to write a happy song and just like Miley Cyrus learn to play the guitar piano. They were the first ones to inspire me and then Miley help that inspiration come true. I do have to admit when the Jonas Brothers were first introduced to Disney channel I was like come on no cares and then I heard one of their songs on Disney channel I was like who are they, they’re amazing. Then I realized that it was the Jonas Brothers. Oh and did I forget to mention Kevin Jonas got married on my birthday. Well, he did. Anyways the song that they had inspired to write is a sort of happy song. Most songs I have written in the past have been sad, but I finally found a couple of music artist to inspire me to write a happy song. “Everything Has Changed.”

Hola people it’s me again. It’s been hard for me to decide what to write about. Oh no I hope I don’t have writers block. I think I don’t which is a good thing for a music writer like me. Anyways this week I was going to be talking about the Rascal Flatts, but I have a better song I mind. It’s called According to you,” by Orianthi. It’s really an awesome song. If you are interested in it, you really should check it out. I don’t want to give anything away, it tells a really cool story. And not to mention she is an awesome guitar player. Anyways, she reminded me of a song that I wrote a long time ago it’s called “Remember us.”

Hello again it’s just me saying it’s time to talk about the new category and musician this week. Ok, so I am going to be talking about Miley Cyrus and the category she falls into is pop and teen pop and no it’s not the kind of pop you drink. Anyways getting back on topic about Miley Cyrus and why I choose her. The reason why I choose Miley Cyrus is because some of her songs have helped me write songs that I would have thought never to be possible. She is one that I look up to with music and she has inspired me to play guitar and piano. I have had about one year’s worth of guitar lessons, but as the piano I have know some songs but not a lot and I think it would help me out if I had two instruments to help me write songs instead of just one (which would have been the guitar because I just got an electric keyboard for my birthday.) Oh yeah I’m going to write songs possibly every week but if I can’t ill just do every other week. So here is this week song called “I’m the One.” Hope you like it. ^_^

Music topic this week

Hey, it just me again. Ok so every week I’ll be talking about the music artist that I like and the types of music category they fall into, and how they inspired me on what kind of music I write. So this week I’m going to be talking about Taylor Swift. The music category she falls into is country and pop. She has inspired me to write to also write songs about my life and how I should put it in a song. Sometimes my songs don’t turn out to be great, but I still wrote a song. Anyways, the one song that I have listened to like 300 times is called “Change.” This song told me that no matter how my life is now it will change. So I have decided to write a song sort of like it. The name of this song is called “This is life.” So here are my lyrics. Oh and some weeks I might not have a song, Thanks for reading!!! ^_^

Music

The topic I’m going to be talking about is music. That includes music artist and music types. The music types I do like is pop and country, that’s all ive listened to because I’m so busy. The reason why I choose this topic is because is what my life is all about. Ask any of my friends they will probably say “yeah she loves music when I’m talking to her on the phone she just stats singing the song that we were talking about.” Music has been with for my whole entire life. I love to singing to the songs that I listen to, well sometimes. Ive been in show choir for two years and it’s what I love to do. Actually show choir inspired me to write song then choreograph the songs that I wrote so that I can sing and dance to them. After I write the song and then choreograph my song I play it on my guitar or my electric keyboard. Sometimes I even catch myself singing in the hallway.

The one person that inspired me to write that my latest song is my best friend. The song I wrote is called “Friends Forever.” I didn’t take me that long to write the song. Let’s just say when I writing song I’m on a roll. Most of my songs that I have wrote have been about my life and what has happened to me throughout my life. So of the music that I listen to have helped me write songs and the songs that I write turn out to be great. Well that’s just what my mom says. The one thing I have to say about music is that music helps you in school and helps you keep your grades high, so if your grades are low take the time to listen to music.

First Semester Portfolio - Piece I’d Like to Revise

The piece I’d like to revise is a short poem I wrote just for fun in the extra time I had. My poem is about how summer vacation should have lasted longer than it did. My idea came from when I found out there was only 1 week of summer vacation left until school. I think I could change my poem so that I rhymed and shorten the lines that are too long.

SUMMER VACATION COMING TO AN END
I had 1 week until school
It was horrible
Why does school have to start in August?
Why can’t it start after Labor Day?
These questions run through my head
I thought maybe I could say I had a certain disease
Maybe one where I have allergies to the school
I don’t know just something to get me out of school
So that I could have a longer summer vacation

Summer vacation is coming to an end
I blame the school district
Summer vacation should last longer
Not be shortened
Why does summer vacation seem to fly by?
Is it just me or do you feel it to?
Summer vacation is moving really fast
I just wish it would stop
Or maybe just slow down
